Cookie and Storage Policy

1. The short version
Betrrr sets no cookies. Not one — not for analytics, not for advertising, and not for signing you in. There are no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts on this site.
What the app does use is your browser’s local storage: six items, listed below, that keep you signed in and remember your own settings. Local storage stays on your device and is not attached to requests the way a cookie is.
That is why there is no “manage preferences” panel. Consent is required for storage that is not necessary to deliver a service you asked for, and we set none of that. Switching off anything below would simply sign you out or make the app forget your city.
2. What we store
betrrr_auth_token— the token that keeps you signed in. Sent to our server with each request so it knows the account is yours. Removed when you sign out.betrrr_user— your name and number as your account holds them, kept so the app can draw your profile immediately instead of waiting on a request. Removed when you sign out.betrrr_city— the city you chose, so you are not asked for it every visit.betrrr_city_coords— the coordinates of that city, written only if you asked the app to use your current location, and used to sort places by distance. Cleared whenever you pick a city by hand instead.betrrr_wishlist— what you have saved. This one is only in your browser and is never sent to us, which is why a list saved on your phone is not on your laptop.betrrr_notifications— the in-app notifications you have received and which you have read. Also only in your browser.
3. How long it lasts
Local storage has no expiry date of its own. These items stay until you sign out, clear them, or clear your browser’s site data. The sign-in token is separately checked by our server on every request, so an old one stops working whether or not it is still in your browser.
4. Clearing it
Signing out removes the token and your account details. To remove everything, clear site data for https://betrrr.app in your browser’s settings — in most browsers this is under Privacy, as “Cookies and site data”. Your saved list and your notifications live only there, so clearing site data deletes them for good; your bookings and credits are on your account and are not affected.
5. Third parties
No third party sets storage on this site. Where the app needs something from a partner — a map lookup, a payment — the request goes through our own server, so your browser is not handed to them. Paying may take you to your bank or UPI app to authorise it, and once you are there, that page is theirs and so is anything it stores.
6. If this changes
If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask you first and this page will say what it is before it is set. The date at the top changes whenever the list does.
What we do with the data itself is in the privacy policy.
